Now, however, that’s what is coming to screens sometime in the future. But the original film was hardly crying out to be remade. It even did enough business to garner a sequel ‘ Urban Legends: Final Cut‘ which did feature a couple of cameos from the stars of the original film (Rebecca Gayheart’s was a smile-inducing one). It was decent enough and passed the time away for those who saw it but it was essentially another teen slasher flick in the vein of ‘ I Know What You Did Last Summer‘.

Now, the film wasn’t THAT good in the first place but it was a worthy slasher film which just happened to star the legendary Robert Englund and Brad Dourif in small roles and the future Oscar-winner Jared Leto. Not being happy with the upcoming reboot/sequel to ‘ The Texas Chainsaw Massacre‘ and being unsatisfied with destroying some of the better horror movies ever made by remaking them as PG-13 rated turds ( The Fog, Black Christmas, etc), now they have turned their attention to remaking the 1998 horror ‘ Urban Legend‘. Another Hollywood reboot gets the green lightĬOME ON HOLLYWOOD! Seriously? Not being content with possibly remaking ‘ The Exorcist‘.
